Witness the life and courage of Maria Rosa Henson, the first Filipina to reveal her story as a Japanese military sex slave during the Second World War. Nana Rosa covers her early years in Pampanga, to her capture during the war, up to her later years after coming out as a comfort woman in 1992.
Peewee O'hara and Bibeth Orteza will alternate for the role of Rosa Henson.
The play is written by Rody Vera and directed by Jose Estrella, and will open on 27 February 2020 at the Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero Theater, Palma Hall, UP Diliman.
Audiences are advised to come to the theater at least 30 minutes before show starts.
