Intro to Impro: An Improv Teaser Workshop by Aryn Cristobal 6:00 PM

Learn improv foundations together (but apart), behind your screen during this lockdown period. This one-session introduction is perfect for beginners.

No prior performance experience necessary! We welcome anyone and everyone, extroverts and introverts, performers and non-performers alike.

Improvisational theater, or improv, is a form of theater where the scenes, stories, dialogue and movement are unscripted and unrehearsed. Improv players create shows that surprise, enthrall and inspire their audiences by relying on their ability to think on their feet, collaborate in the moment, let go, listen deeply and recognize patterns and connections. These same skills are valuable not just for the purpose of entertaining an audience but are also used to help people become better leaders, workers, teachers, students, and family members. Learn from the best improv instructors in the country and find out what improv can do for you. #developingpeople

Limited slots only! Pre-registration is required.

About the instructor: About the instructor: Aryn Cristobal has been performing with SPIT since 2006 and is a founding member of Third World Improv. She received part of her extensive improv training at Magnet Theater and The PIT, two of New York's most prominent improv schools, and was briefly on the house team of Treehouse Theater. She has been fortunate to learn from improv greats including Charna Halpern, Mark Sutton, Armando Diaz and Kevin Mullaney. Since then, she has performed and taught in festivals in New York, Chicago, Bogota, Shanghai, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Outside improv, Aryn is a model, commercial actress, events host, and part-time "odd-job holder."

Third World Improv Goes Online! Our faculty has put together an exciting line-up of workshops, classes, and lectures made especially so they can be done online during the quarantine. After all, improvising is all about saying yes to the moment and adapting.
