Celebrated across the world's great opera stages for her powerful voice, dramatic intensity, and commanding stage presence, Ms. Rowley brings to Manila an evening of extraordinary vocal artistry — and with it, a rare opportunity for Filipino audiences to witness, firsthand, a soprano at the height of her international career.Her most recent triumph came at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova, Italy, where she took on one of the most fearsome roles in the soprano repertoire: Lady Macbeth in Verdi's Macbeth. Opera Magazine (London) was unequivocal in its praise: "Ms. Rowley brought the house down. She delivered a remarkable performance thanks to her bright and penetrating timbre, solid and sharp upper register, and a first-rate technique. From the opening scene, she stood out with her phrasing and accentuation, portraying a woman both power-hungry and demonic." The review went on to commend "the ease and bel canto precision with which she mastered the formidable sixteenth-note runs and the numerous high B's," and noted that even the opera's celebrated sleepwalking scene, "sung with dark, hallucinatory phrasing and concluding with a confident and perfectly tuned high D-flat, did not disappoint."Her 2025/26 season alone encompasses three major role debuts: Lady Macbeth in Verdi's Macbeth at Teatro Carlo Felice in Genova; Turandot in Puccini's Turandot for Florida Grand Opera; and Maddalena di Coigny in Giordano's Andrea Chenier at the Metropolitan Opera. She also performs Aida for Washington Opera and Cio-Cio-San in Puccini's Madama Butterfly for Dallas Symphony under Maestro Fabio Luisi. Recent credits further include Amelia Grimaldi in Verdi's Simon Boccanegra at Opernhaus Zurich, Tosca at Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari and Opera de Marseille, and Aida at Teatro Colon and Teatro Lirico di Cagliari.It was her Metropolitan Opera debut as Roxane in Alfano's Cyrano de Bergerac, opposite tenor Robert Alagna, that first announced Ms. Rowley to the world as a soprano of rare gifts. She also serves as a recommended adjudicator for the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she led a widely acclaimed Virtual Artist Residency with Fort Worth Opera, offering weekly masterclasses and conversations with singers, directors, coaches, and industry professionals. The success of that initiative inspired her to establish an exclusive six-week Virtual Audition Intensive for emerging professional singers.Ms. Rowley's artistry has been recognized by the field's most distinguished institutions.
